Why you don’t want to be the “special” client

  • Posted by Colin Pearce

We keep things simple by providing everything most clients need in one comprehensive IT monthly package.

A lot of IT companies don’t do a standard, across-the-board service, opting instead for highly customized plans.

They end up with many outlier clients because one business owner might want two-factor authentication, but four other clients don’t. Some want remote access, some don’t. Maybe a client doesn’t see the need for offsite backups.

It can be difficult for some IT companies to provide top-notch tech support while juggling numerous different technical requirements. They may say a client’s systems are special or untenable. Or they might imply that they are doing a favour by supporting them.

With our monthly package, you’re already getting everything you need. You just add in your own business processes.

The bulk of our IT work is keeping servers and Microsoft 365 working, and making sure files are safe and available. We keep emails coming in, computers running fast, phones ringing. Because a lot of that work is standardized and happens behind the scenes, we have the bandwidth to provide excellent tech support as well.

A couple of thoughts to consider with your current IT set-up

  1. Do you have confidence that your IT provider is giving good advice about your IT systems?
  2. I’ve yet to come across a completely new technical challenge that we haven’t seen before. Yes, the situation may be complicated, but we can always work with it.

At the end of the day, files gotta file, computers gotta computer, phones gotta phone. Your IT provider only needs to customize your monthly IT support package based on your business processes and the size of your staff team.

Colin Pearce is Inderly’s CEO.

A 10-year veteran in the IT space, Colin has provided support and advisory services to hundreds of Canadian businesses employing thousands of staff. Having grown tired of selling businesses IT stuff they need, but don’t understand, he decided to create an easy platform that includes almost all required IT infrastructure. Now he can spend his time focusing on how to make business technology work for your unique situation.
